Bordeaux Index makes wine buying as simple and transparent as possible, and En Primeur is no exception. It's been seven months since the harvest and after a long period of excited anticipation, the wines are about to be offered for sale.
Pre-ordering is highly recommended to secure sought after wines, as pre-orders will be given priority over wishlists, and we will satisfy all valid pre-orders before we release a general offer.
It is exceptionally difficult to guess the release prices in vintages like this – quality is high but after the past 3 difficult vintages we would like prices to be sensible. For the 2014s, we will create a spread on the price of all the major wines – based on our information which combines the current 2008 prices and takes into account 2012 and 2013 release prices.
A pre-order is a binding confirmation that you will buy the wine upon release - provided there is sufficient quantity and the wine is released within the guide prices we've provided.
We also guarantee that you will never pay more than the price charged by our major competitors on the day, irrespective of the maximum guide price we provided when you pre-ordered.
Are you a drinker or an investor? Do you prefer Margaux or St Julien? Cru Bourgeois or classed growth? Give your account manager a call, decide how much you would like to spend, and we will personally select a portfolio that suits your request.
Inevitably there are many wines that are oversubscribed. As a result, Bordeaux Index will allocate to customers based on criteria including existing, balanced pre-orders for 2014 Bordeaux En Primeur.
The notes and scores from the following critics, where available, can be found on each wine's product page, accessible by clicking the wine's name::
