Wine Storage
Storage rates are £7.50 per case of 12 and £3.75 per case of 6 per year (ex-VAT). As many producers have started to pack their wines in 6btl cases, we feel ‘why should our customers have to pay 12btl prices?
Minimum charge is 1 year. All wine is insured to full replacement value.
All stock is clearly labelled with your HM Revenue & Customs approved rotation numbers and all wine is logged with your name and individual 3 digit account code.
We have a Private Reserves Manager (Guy Ruston) therefore you have one single point of contact for enquiries, advice and instruction.
We invoice twice a year as opposed to weekly or monthly which can get confusing, messy and leads to too much mail through your letterbox.
We’re developing our bi-annual invoice to incorporate a portfolio service, where by Guy will keep you informed of all the wines we’re holding for you along with drinking dates, RP scores and investment features. Few merchants/traders do this, especially free of charge! This information is also available from Guy all year round.
We’re in the process of developing online visibility for our private reserve customers, so that you can view your account via a login on our website. We’re hoping to go live with this in the next 2-3 months.
We will store any quantity
We store both 'in bond' and 'duty paid' wines
We will store wines purchased from other companies at no additional costs or charges.
We'll store your wine even if you've never bought from us.
Unlike many of our competitors, client's private reserves and our own trading stock are kept completely separate (in two different warehouses altogether!)
We can provide condition reports with digital photographs of your wine. This service is free of charge for wines purchased from us. £3.75 a case from wines purchased elsewhere.
We can arrange a viewing of your wines by appointment.
Our storage facilities (at Vinotheque) provide the perfect environment for your wines. A grade II listed building with 1m thick walls; it has an average temperature of 13 degrees with 60-65% humidity. Insulation, air flow and natural light shuttering make certain that your wines develop in a carefully controlled atmosphere.
