LAUNCH OF LUXURY WINE TOURS
Luxury wine tours of top vineyards in France are being offered to our clients with bookings available now.
Beginning in April 2010, the tours will enable clients to visit estates and see first-hand the provenance of the wines they buy in the regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne. Each tour group will be accompanied by our own experienced co-ordinator and wine expert.
The tours will be tailor-made and scheduled with clients able to chose their own itineraries. We will use our impeccable connections with the best chateaux, hotels and restaurants to provide well organised breaks of the highest quality.
Gary Boom, Bordeaux Index's managing director, said: "Frequent requests by our clients to arrange bespoke tours have prompted the launch of the new service. We are the only UK-based wine merchant doing this - it's another opportunity to further enhance the many services we offer our clients."
"Of course there are companies offering wine tours but none have the connections to the best estates which we enjoy. Indeed, some of the chateaux are not on the regular beaten visitor track, but our relationships will gain us access. Our pricing will also benefit from such contacts with good discounts achieved. As the tours grow, we will look to offer other destinations too, such as France’s Rhone region and Italy. And we hope to include truffle hunting and cookery demonstrations."
Clients travelling from anywhere in the world can join the tours which start from £550 and are financially protected in accordance with UK law. We can provide dining at a chateau, Michelin-starred restaurants, wine tastings, expert guides, chauffeuring, accommodation, additional activities such as golf and trips to Paris, and travel arrangements, although some clients may wish to travel independently to destinations.
