BI Drinks Business Fine Wine Retailer of the Year Award 2016

It’s good to know that whilst our name has changed, some things have stayed the same... we are thrilled to have attained yet another award for our trophy cabinet, picking up the Drinks Business’s Fine Wine Retailer of the Year award for 2016. As with the Decanter Bordeaux Specialist Wine Retailer of the Year and the International Wine Challenge Bordeaux Specialist Merchant of the Year, this is the second year running we have collected this award. In fact no other merchant has ever held, then retained, these three awards – making this a significant and humbling achievement.

The judges praised us for maintaining strong sales under challenging market conditions, for embracing diversity in our portfolio, and for having the courage to rebrand so effectively so as to embrace our clear new direction. It’s a huge pleasure and privilege to be recognised in this way by our main industry publication. However we never rest on our laurels – we’ll never forget that we are only just about to turn 20 and not long ago, we didn’t even have any to rest on. We are therefore determined to work harder and smarter than ever to provide you with the best fine wine service possible. With our four offices spanning the globe, we are perfectly positioned to work across all time zones in a truly 24-hour operation.

We must thank our fantastic, loyal clients and suppliers without whom we would not exist, let alone thrive to become a multi-award-winning merchant. Thanks of course also to Patrick Schmitt and his judging panel at the Drinks Business.
