In our view, there is scarcely better value to be found in Bordeaux. The question is not, “should I buy?” but rather, “how can I not?!”
Today sees the release of the ultimate overachiever of St Estephe, Château Ormes de Pez. Owned by the Cazes family of Lynch Bages fame, this property for all intents and purposes operates with Cru Classé consistency and confidence.
Jane Anson writes “in my books you could go a long way before finding a more enjoyable St Estephe than this”. It is a property we follow consistently for exactly this reason – for the past few vintages, the team led by Nicolas Labenne have been hitting it out of the park.
